• All About Hop
    Hop was used as flavorings as early as 400 BC by captive Jews in Babylon, but historians think that the real reason it was used as additive was for its antiseptic properties. By adding hops, brewers didn't have to have high alcohol content to prevent spoilage. This meant less grains and therefore more profit.

01/12 2nd Annual MRBC Charity Raffle Kick-off

The 2nd annual MRBC/Northside Customs charity ski raffle is underway at MRBC tasting room. The official launch event is in the tap room Wednesday, January 11th, from 4 - 8 PM, during which you can drink .50 cent pints!!! In addition to a great deal on beer, Matt Sebren from Northside Customs will be there as well, sharing some of his other skis with you and drinking a Hopper!

Raffle tickets are $5.00 each, or 5 for $20. This year's proceeds will go to Gallatin Valley Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

What's the schwag on offer, you ask? We have a new pair of Northside Customs skis with the Black Ghost design, artwork by Derek DeYoung. Whoever wins the skis will also receive new Marker AT bindings. In addition, we have other prizes including a Simms Hoody and a DeYoung print of the Black Ghost painting. Drawing will take place Feb. 29th or sooner!!! More details on skis, etc at the brewery.
